Wearables Technical Requirements

Tech Specs

Wearable 3D creation submission should conform to the following rules:

  • 3D model format: FBX
  • Placement: positioned correctly on the mannequin (Remove mannequin for submission!)
  • The asset conforms to Wearables Layering Guides
  • Preferred topology: quads (no need to triangulate!)
  • Max tri-count limit: 7,500 triangles per wearable asset with an an exception of earrings and glasses that should be up to 2,500 triangles
  • All asset UV shells must fit in ONE UV tile
  • Preferred: All asset UV shells are rotated in the same direction
  • Texture maps size: 4K (4096 x 4096 px square)
  • Texture maps format: PNG
  • Texture maps required:
    • assetName_AlbedoTransparency
    • assetName_MetallicSmoothness
    • assetName_Normal
    • assetName_RGBAMask
