Avatar Guidelines

Here are the tech specs for uploading an Avatar.

List of Requirements

Avatar submission should conform to the following rules:

  • 3D Model Format:
    • FBX format (see note below)
  • Placement:
    • Position model at the origin facing Z depth.
    • Pivot set to (0, 0, 0)
  • Tricount:
    • Maximum: 50K triangles (including outfit/wearables/accessories).
  • Texture Set Requirements:
    • Use PNG format.
      • AlbedoTransparency texture map, size 4096x4096
      • MetallicSmoothness texture map, size 4096x4096
      • Normal texture map, size 4096x4096
  • Model Clean Up:
    • Remove any hidden elements (e.g., delete history, freeze transform, center pivot, unused nodes).

In the future, the system will be able to support different file formats, such as GLTF/GLB (.gltf/.glb) and USD/USDZ (.usd/.usdz).
